Oneonta and Cooperstown, N.Y. – September is National Emergency Preparedness Month! Bassett Healthcare Network is holding two public events this month that can help people in the communities we serve stay safe during emergency situations.
Citizen Preparedness Training Program – Oneonta – September 16 What: The NY Citizen Preparedness Training Program When: Monday, September 16, 2024, at 6 p.m. Presented By: The New York State Citizen Preparedness Corps, in conjunction with the Governor’s Office and Bassett Healthcare Network. Where: Classroom 1 Details: With severe weather events becoming more frequent and more extreme, it is more important than ever that New Yorkers are prepared for disasters. The NY Citizen Preparedness Training Program teaches residents to have the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster, respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions. This training course will provide an introduction to responding to a natural or man-made disaster. Participants will be advised on how to properly prepare for any disaster, including developing family emergency plans and stocking up on emergency supplies.
