Call Number ID

Call Number Identification enables you to view the number, date and time of an incoming call. Most Call ID devices will store up to 60 received calls.

Call Waiting

If you have an incoming call while you are already on the line, the Call Waiting feature will alert you. You may then put the first party on hold while you connect to your second call. This feature will greatly reduce missed calls due to a busy phone.

Here is how your call waiting feature alerts you: A beep tone tells you another call is waiting. Only you hear this tone. Another reminder tone will be heard 10 seconds later if the waiting call remains unanswered. The second caller hears a normal ring tone.

To answer the second call: Press the receiver button for less than one second or press the Flash button to place your first call on hold. You will automatically be connected with the second caller.

To alternate between calls: Press the receiver for less than one second or press the Flash button. Each conversation is private and cannot be heard by the other caller.

To terminate either call: Simply hang up. Your telephone will then ring. When you answer it, you’ll be connected with the other caller.

Helpful Hints

Callers can prevent delivery of their number to your Caller ID display by pressing *67 (or *82) before placing their call, or by calling from a blocked line. When Anonymous Call rejection is on, your phone won’t ring and callers are told “The number you have reached is not accepting calls from private numbers”. To talk to you, the caller may place the call again without pressing *67, or, unblock the line by pressing *82.

Calls that display as “unknown” or “unavailable” will not be blocked with *77; those calls are coming from a long-distance area or an area that does not support Caller ID Services.

When the person’s line you are calling is no longer busy, Last Number Redial signals you with a distinctive ring and places the call for you when you pick up the phone. This feature works with both local and long distance calls.

Selective Ring

This feature is for customers who have the need for two phone numbers to ring on one phone line. This feature is helpful for parents with children who may be receiving a lot of calls. And for homes that have equipment such as, fax machines, which will recognize a distinctive ring pattern. The phone will ring two short rings for one number and one long ring for the other number.
