Our backup battery keeps your phone working even during a power outage—for maximum safety and peace of mind. To avoid disruption of home voice service and to maintain your ability to connect to 911 emergency services, DTC will install one 8-hour backup battery, at no charge to you. You may lease additional backup batteries in 8-hour increments with a maximum of two additional batteries (24 hours of backup power) for your home phone.
