What you’ll actually do

• Answer the main line, (607) 746-1500, and walk-ins at the Delhi office.
• Take new orders and changes for fiber internet, TV, phone, and security. Explain speeds, packages, and install windows in plain language.
• Look up accounts, post payments or payment arrangements, process daily cash and handle billing disputes.
• Open trouble tickets and route them to tech support. 
• Book and confirm installs and service calls. 
• Keep the counter, the hold queue, and the callback list current before leaving for the day.

What success looks like here

• Calm on a busy morning. Neighbors, not ticket numbers.
• Writes an account note the next person can act on.
• Willing to learn the billing system. Prior telecom is a plus, not a requirement.
• Can work a full counter day: standing, walking, light lifting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable on the phone for most of the day.
• Basic computer use: email, web browser, data entry. Accuracy is more important than typing fast.
• Valid driver’s license. Must be able to get to Delhi reliably, including in winter and other weather events.
• Must pass any standard background check.

Nice to have

• Server, Retail, bank teller, medical office, school office, or dispatch experience.
• Lives in Delaware County. Knows the community, exchanges and the roads.
• Cash handling and payment posting.
