Call Number Identification enables you to view the number, date and time of an incoming call. Most Call ID devices will store up to 60 Received calls.
To use
Simply connect your Call ID device to your telephone. Calls will be displayed on your phone as they come in.
Please Note: Call ID information will show after the second ring.
If you have an incoming call while you are already on the line, the Call Waiting feature will alert you. You may then put the first party on hold while you connect to your second call. This feature will greatly reduce missed calls due to a busy phone.
Here is how your call waiting feature alerts you: A beep tone tells you another call is waiting. Only you hear this tone. Another reminder tone will be heard 10 seconds later if the waiting call remains unanswered. The second caller hears a normal ring tone.
To answer the second call: Press the receiver button for less than one second or press the Flash button to place your first call on hold. You will automatically be connected with the second caller.
To alternate between calls: Press the receiver for less than one second or press the Flash button. Each conversation is private and cannot be heard by the other caller.
To terminate either call: Simply hang up. Your telephone will then ring. When you answer it, you'll be connected with the other caller.
Back to TopThis feature allows the customer with Call Waiting to cancel the Call Waiting feature for the duration of a specific call.
To use: Dial *70 then the desired number.
Note: The confirmation tone (an interrupted tone followed by a steady dial tone) indicates that Call Waiting has been canceled for the duration of the specific call. When the call is completed, the Call Waiting feature is automatically restored.
Back to TopCall return allows you to automatically call back your last incoming call - even if that call wasn't answered. This allows you to hear the phone number of the last incoming call and decide whether or not to return that call. No special equipment is required.
To use:
Listen for dial tone. Press *69

Back to TopThis feature allows you to automatically forward you calls to another number, anytime you choose. Easy to use and change forward-to numbers. This feature eliminates missed calls. This feature will work with local or long distance calls, cellular phones, and pagers.
To forward your calls:

Dial # 72
Listen for dial tone
Dial the number where you wish your calls forwarded. (Speed Calling codes may be used if you have this feature.) When the phone is answered at the forwarded number, the feature is now in effect. If there is no answer or if the line is busy, hang up and repeat the previous steps. Once activated, your phone will make one short ring each time a call is forwarded.
To deactivate call forwarding
Listen for dial tone.
Dial 73# (or 73 on a rotary phone and wait four seconds) When you hear the two beeps, call forwarding has been deactivated. Your incoming calls will now ring on your phone.

To activate:
Dial *90, listen for two beeps
Dial the number you wish to forward your calls to i.e. 1-315-123-4567
Call will be completed
If call is answered, then the feature is installed If the calls goes unanswered or busy, then hang-up Repeat steps listed above Hear two beeps, then feature is now activated
To deactivate:
Dial *91, listen for two beeps The feature is now deactivated
Back to TopThis feature automatically forwards an incoming call to a customer's pre-selected number if there is no answer after a set number of rings. This feature is easy to activate and deactivate, and works with local and long distance numbers. It works with the Call Waiting feature, and allows you to pick up the call before it is forwarded for no answer.
Back to TopThis feature allows you to forward you most important calls. You select the calling phone numbers up to (30) thirty numbers to be forwarded. Easy to program and change the destination number to which calls are forwarded. Works with local or long distance calls. All other calls will be handled normally. No special equipment is required.
To use:

Listen for an announcement telling you whether the feature is currently on or off.
The recorded voice will then tell you how many (if any) numbers are currently stored on your forward list Follow the voice instructions and dial 3 to turn the feature on (if it is currently off) or off (if it is currently on)
To add the last caller to your forward list:
Press #01
To enter your "forward to" number:
The first time you turn on the service, you will be asked to enter the number you'd like your special calls forwarded to. From then on, the system will simply remind you of the current "forward to" number.
Then follow voice instructions:
Press 1 if correct
Press 0 if you wish to change the current "forward to" number, and then follow voice instructions To hear the phone numbers on you list:
Press 1
After the list is read, voice instructions will follow To add or remove a number to or from your list:
Press #
Follow the voice instructions to add or remove any or all of the numbers from your forward list To hear instructions again:
Press 0
When someone calls:
If your service is turned on and the caller is on your forward list, the call will be rerouted to your "forward to" number. If the caller is not on your forward list, the call will ring at your number as usual.
Notes:
You may press 1, 0, #, or * at any time rather than waiting for the voice instructions. The list you create here is separate from any other lists you may be using for Call Selector, Selective Call Acceptance and similar services. Charges will be incurred for long-distance calls using this feature.
Back to TopThis feature allows you to create a list of phone numbers which you would like to accept calls from. Any calls not on the list will be routed to a polite announcement. The phone numbers on the list can be changed as needed.
To Use:
Listen for dial tone.
Press *64
Listen for an announcement telling you whether the feature is currently on or off. The recorded voice will then tell you how many (if any) numbers are currently stored on your acceptance list.
Follow the voice instructions and dial 3 to turn the featue ON (if it is currently off), or turn the feature OFF (if it is currently on).
To add the last caller to your acceptance list press #01.
To hear the phone numbers on your list, press #. After the list is read, voice instructions will follow.
To add a number to you list, press #. Follow voice instructions you'll hear. You can store up to 32 phone numbers on your list.
To remove a number from you list, pres #. Follow the voice instructions to remove any or all of those numbers.
To hear instructions, press 0.
When someone calls and your service is turned ON, you'll receive calls only from those on your acceptance list. Callers who are not on your list will simply hear an announcement that you are not accepting calls at this time.
You may press 1, 0, #, or * at any time rather than waiting for the voice instructions. The lists you create here is separate from any other lists you may be using for similar services.
Back to TopCall Screening keeps unwanted calls from disturbing you. Subscribers to this service can create a list of numbers from which they don not wish to receive calls. Calls from those numbers will be routed to a polite message stating that the call is not being accepted. All other calls will be treated normally.
To Use:
Listen for dial tone.
Press *60
Listen for an announcement telling you whether the feature is currently on or off. The recorded voice will then tell you how many (if any) numbers are currently stored on your rejection list.
Press 3 and follow the voice instructions to turn the feature on (if it is currently off) or off (if it is currently on).

Back to TopThis feature will reject any incoming calls where the calling number cannot be identified through Call Number ID. This would occur when the calling number has turned on Call ID Blocking. You will only receive calls that you can identify through Call Number ID.
Back to TopThis feature enables you to call emergency or frequently dialed numbers just by dialing one or two digits. This list may include local and long distance numbers. Speed Calling 8 lets you store up to eight numbers.
To enter or change your speed calling list:
Lift the handset and listen for dial tone
Dial 74#
Listen for dial tone
Dial one of the speed digit numbers (2 through 9)
Dial the number you wish to speed call. For long distance numbers, remember to dial the "1", the area code, then the number.
Press the # button
When you hear the two beeps, your number has been entered.
Hang up and repeat the procedure to enter more numbers using a different digit and entering one phone number at a time.
To use your speed calling feature:
Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone
Dial the appropriate one-digit speed number (2 through 9)
Press the # button
Your call will now be automatically dialed.

This feature allows a calling party to automatically keep trying a busy number for up to 30 minutes even while you are on you telephone with another call. When the person's line you are calling is no longer busy, Last Number Redial signals you with a distinctive ring and places the call for you when you pick up the phone. This feature works with both local and long distance calls.

Distinctive Ring will work with Call Waiting and Call Number Identification features. No special equipment needed. Numbers may be changed at anytime from your phone.

Back to TopThis feature is for customers who have the need to two phone numbers to ring on one phone line. This feature is helpful for parents with children who may be receiving a lot of calls. And for homes that have equipment such as fax machines, which will recognize a distinctive ring pattern. The phone will ring two short rings for one number and one long ring for the other number.
Back to TopVoice mail is an answering system that allows your callers to leave a message when you are busy, away from, or talking on your phone. You are able to leave a personal greeting for your callers. Voice mail works on a touch-tone phone. No special equipment is required.

Initial Setup
Dial 746-9001 from a telephone connected to the telephone number on which the Voice Mail service has been installed. Customers who have ordered Voice Mail and have All Call Blocking must dial *67-746-9001 before calling to initiate the Voice Mail service. Enter your complete telephone number followed by # (i.e. 607-746-1500 #) Enter your password followed by # (initial password is always the last four digits of your number i.e. 1500#). Follow instructions to change your password

To Change the Number of Rings
If you wish to change the number of rings (2 through 9) first you must remove the present number of rings by dialing *93, hang up, and then dial *92-the number of rings-746-9001.
Record Your Personalized Greeting:
Access your mailbox.
Press 9 on the main menu - select mailbox setup.
Press 1 to select record a greeting option.
Press 4 to start recording.
Press # to end recording.
Press 1 after you end recording to listen to your recording
Press 3 to delete greeting and try again or press 2 or * to save greeting.
To re-record after greeting is deleted, press 4 to start & # to end recording.
